KEDC’s primary mission is to maintain and increase the tax base of the City of Kilgore and the number of permanent, primary jobs available for Kilgore citizens. The strategic goals of KEDC are:
- To assist with activities that contribute to a business climate conducive for retaining investment dollars and jobs from existing primary employers;
- To attract the location of new manufacturing companies and industries to Kilgore with available sites and buildings, financial incentives and other support services; and
- To encourage, support, and financially assist in the development and diversification of small businesses in Kilgore.
Kilgore Economic Development Corporation (KEDC) was established on October 1, 1990. The 4A corporation has a five-member board to oversee operations and three full-time staff positions.
