I recently returned from sharing information resources with a struggling democracy that is Kilgore's sister city in the Ukraine, Rzhyshchiv, otherwise known as RZ. Although I donated my time there it was professional as well as personal development. The people there are eager to learn and implement best practices and willing to share their own development and culture. It was a rich time spent in a place with a rich heritage. During a SKYPE call between the two cities, the Mayor of RZ presented our own mayor, Joe Parker, with a beautiful decorative pottery violin made from the mud of the Dnieper River. Our trip was one of service, made practical with some business training and education, and one of deepening the sister city relationship between Kilgore and RZ.
