Kilgore – Kilgore Economic Development Corporation has teamed with Skeeter Boats, Allied/Republic Services, The Boys and Girls Club of Kilgore, and Texas Parks and Wildlife to provide Kilgore children up to 12 years a fantastic trout fishing opportunity at Elder Lake in Synergy Park December 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Trout for Tots at Elder Lake” provides free fishing fun for kids as they experience catching and keeping rainbow trout. When each child registers they will receive a gift bag and bait of corn and marshmallows. TP&W will have a limited supply of rods & reels, and children are encouraged to bring their own.
“Trout for Tots” is part of a special Saturday for children in Kilgore. Also from 10 AM to 2 PM, the Kilgore Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau will present the Mt. Kilgore Snow Hill downtown. The event is free and guarantees real snow providing a downhill tubing adventure for kids taller than 42 inches.
